Classic skirt at last!

Mama is most excited to report that her latest skirt creation is done! It took many trips to find the right trim, and the sewing machine broke down 10 minutes before it was done, but we persevered.

You might think this rockin' hot pink print from Crafty Planet is uptight and preppy, but no! Look closer, there's pigs and deer and rabbits and skulls. Skulls!

April fools is a big deal at our house. Daddy's cereal turned blue when he poured his milk in, the kids opened doors to cascades of squealing balloons, and there was always saran wrap over the toilet. The kids actually surprised me by putting their coats on backwards and walking around like mummies.

We continued our spring break adventures by going to a huge indoor play area today with our sweet neighbors, Sarah and her son, Kip. Did you know Charlotte is cookoo for babies? Here she is kissing Kip's sister, Julia.

Today Gracie learned how to apply lotion. She is especially adept at helping out her brother and sister with their applications:

More coming soon. Have a great day!
